Rajasthan’s civic poll results have delivered a mixed political verdict. The BJP remains the biggest force, winning over 4,179 wards, while Congress secured 3,613. But AAP and CPM have sprung major surprises, winning Baran and Nokha respectively. Congress also scored decisive victories in Jhalawar and made gains in Pali. Meanwhile, Independents won 2,273 wards and could emerge as kingmakers in several civic bodies. With the 2028 Assembly elections ahead, the results offer important signals for the BJP, Congress and emerging opposition forces across Rajasthan.
