This Ganesh Chaturthi, a Mumbai-based artist has given a creative form to the idea of knowledge with her 5-ft ‘Gyan Ganesha’ — an idol crafted entirely using 1,100 notebooks. From the mukut and ears to the trunk and other intricate details, each layer was carefully shaped from pages and positioned to bring the idol to life. After visarjan, the notebooks will be donated to children from underprivileged communities, giving the artwork a purpose beyond the festival.
