Belagavi: Fraudsters hacked the mobile phone of an elderly man from Samarth Nagar and transferred Rs 75,000 through Google Pay. Shivayya Mathapati,62, from Samartha Nagar is the victim. When he clicked on an APK file that had arrived on his mobile, the phone froze. The complaint states that when the mobile was restarted, he discovered that Rs 75,000 had been transferred from Google Pay to Panjal Singh’s name. A case has been registered in this regard at the CEN police station in Belagavi.
