Kanpur: Three police personnel, including a sub-inspector and two head constables, were suspended late Wednesday for alleged misconduct, indiscipline and dereliction of duty.The three personnel were allegedly found in an intoxicated state at a public place on Tuesday night. A video purportedly showing them was recorded and later circulated widely on social media.After the video surfaced, superintendent of police (SP) Vinay Kumar Singh took cognisance of the matter suspended the three personnel following a probe.The SP also ordered a departmental inquiry against sub-inspector Vipin Kumar Dwivedi of the Reserve Police Line, Orai; head constable Lavlesh Kumar Yadav, posted at Kotwali Orai; and head constable Brijveer Singh, posted at Kotwali Jalaun.Further action will be taken after the enquiry is completed, Dwivedi said.
