Amravati: An incident involving suspicious death of a young doctor who had recently completed his BAMS degree has come to light in Ashti village under Walgaon police station limits in Amravati district. The deceased, identified as Aditya Rawate (22), had been suffering from epileptic seizures (fits) since childhood and was undergoing medication for the condition. According to his family, he was also taking medicines to lighten his skin complexion, prompting questions about whether an overdose or adverse reaction to these drugs may have contributed to his death.Rawate’s body was found in a room at his residence in Ashti on September 15. After being informed by family members, police rushed to the spot and noticed bleeding from his eyes. The body was sent for post-mortem examination.According to preliminary post-mortem findings, his death is suspected to be linked to asphyxiation and cardiac complications. However, the exact cause of death will be determined only after the final post-mortem report is received. Police have launched an investigation into the case from all possible angles.Rawate had earned his BAMS degree from Nashik and had recently begun practising medicine in Ashti. His untimely death has shocked residents of the village. Family members told police that, despite having a history of seizures, he was also consuming medication intended to make his complexion fairer. Investigators will examine whether these medicines had any connection to his death once the medical and forensic reports are available.Police said Rawate’s family has not raised suspicion against any individual in connection with the death. Walgaon police have registered an accidental death case and are continuing their investigation.
