BJP Kashi region to launch month-long outreach campaign on Modi’s 25 years

Varanasi: The Bharatiya Janata Party’s Kashi region will launch a month-long mass outreach campaign focusing on Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s 25 years in public life. The ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, scheduled from Sept 17 to Oct 17, has been planned not merely as a series of programmes but as a booth-level campaign to spread the message of service, good governance, welfare of the poor and a developed India.The key highlight of the campaign will be a bike journey from Kashi to Vadnagar in Gujarat. On Prime Minister Modi’s birthday, Sept 17, the journey will begin after a jalabhishek at the Kashi Vishwanath Temple with water from 10 rivers. The journey will conclude around 20 days later, on Oct 7, at Vadnagar, the Prime Minister’s birthplace.At a meeting of newly appointed office-bearers and members of the regional working committee at the BJP Kashi region headquarters in Rohania on Thursday, regional president Ashok Chaurasia presented the blueprint of the campaign. He directed party functionaries to conduct the campaign on a large scale across all 16 districts of the Kashi region. The programmes are being planned across 71 assembly constituencies, 337 mandals and 31,168 booths.The proposed bike journey has been given special importance by the party. Under the ‘Vadnagar to Varanasi Yatra’, the BJP aims to connect the Prime Minister’s birthplace with his karmabhoomi, Varanasi. Led by the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha, the journey will carry a political and cultural message linking Modi’s public life with both places.Chaurasia also reviewed preparations for the bike journey with the BJYM Kashi region in charge.As part of the campaign, the ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme will be organised at more than 31,000 booths. Through this initiative, the party plans to connect citizens’ and workers’ faith in the Prime Minister at the booth level. Participation of workers, youth, women and beneficiaries of various government schemes will be ensured. Booth committees and panna pramukhs have been tasked with taking the campaign door to door.Chaurasia said the greatest gift that party workers and citizens can offer the Prime Minister is their blessings and trust. The ‘Aashirwad Ka Diya’ programme will therefore be turned into a mass-participation initiative.The campaign will not remain limited to the party organisation. Under the ‘Sapno Ka Bharat’ programme, activities and speech competitions based on the vision of a developed India will be organised in government and private schools. In rural areas, public contact will be strengthened through ‘Gram Chaupal and Direct Dialogue’ programmes.The party will also use social media, WhatsApp, local publicity platforms, creative content and influencers to reach the younger generation. Office-bearers have been asked to prepare a time-bound calendar for all programmes and ensure maximum public participation.Chaurasia said 13 major programmes will be held during the month-long campaign. These include ‘Namo Seva Gatha’, ‘Aangan Ka Utsav’, ‘Kahani Badlav Ki’, ‘Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra’, ‘Seva Jyoti Yatra’, ‘Vadnagar to Varanasi Yatra’, ‘Seva Mera Yogdan’, ‘Seva Setu Abhiyan’, ‘Rangoli Rashtra and Ghar-Ghar Se Rashtra Tak’, ‘National Innovation Challenge’ and ‘Janseva Mahakumbh’.Laser shows at major memorials, mahayagyas and special rituals at prominent pilgrimage sites, and gram chaupals will also be part of the campaign. The party aims to connect the Prime Minister’s 25 years in public life with activities related to service, good governance, development and welfare of the poor, reaching different sections of society.Chaurasia said the ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’ is a medium to express the nation’s gratitude to the Prime Minister and to take the resolve of a developed India to every citizen. He urged office-bearers to ensure public participation in all service programmes and to shape the campaign into a public movement rather than merely an organisational activity.BJP Kashi region spokesperson Navratan Rathi said the regional president assigned responsibilities to regional office-bearers for the successful implementation and monitoring of various service programmes to be organised in different districts under the campaign.
