AKU employees oppose inquiry panel’s conduct
AKU employees stage a protest on Monday

Patna: Employees of Aryabhatta Knowledge University (AKU staged a protest on Monday over the constitution and functioning of an inquiry committee formed to examine issues related to the university.The protest centred on the committee’s mandate, inquiry period and allegations of misconduct by one of its coordinators during his visit to the university on Sept 12, registrar Niranjan Prasad said. The employees said the committee was constituted by the Governor’s Secretariat on July 27, 2026. They claimed its letter prescribed 15 days for the inquiry, but the committee visited the university on Sept 12.The protesters said they did not oppose an inquiry but demanded it remain within its mandate and uphold the dignity of university officials and employees.
