Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has criticised Congress leader Rahul Gandhi during a political address, questioning his choice of constituencies and accusing the Congress leadership of making promises without doing enough for people. Yadav also highlighted government initiatives including permanent housing in cities and villages and laptop distribution to students scoring above 75 per cent. He referred to Rahul Gandhi as “Pappu” while attacking his politics. Congress leader PC Sharma hit back, saying BJP leaders were unaware of the history behind elections in Rae Bareli and alleging that the BJP had demanded Rs 10 lakh for Rahul Gandhi’s event. Sharma said Rahul Gandhi had become “everyone’s Papa”. BJP leader Hitesh Vajpai criticised PC Sharma’s remark and made a personal reference to Rahul Gandhi’s marriage and family while responding to the “Papa” comment, asking if PC Sharma is “trying to reveal that Rahul has become a father?”
