LUCKNOW: A woman was allegedly hit by a car and carried on its bonnet for some distance following a dispute near Janeshwar Mishra Park. A video of the incident has also gone viral on social media.According to preliminary police information, the woman spotted her partner with another woman and tried to stop the car. During the ensuing argument, the driver allegedly accelerated, hitting the woman and carrying her on the bonnet as the vehicle continued moving.The woman fell off the bonnet after the car had travelled some distance. The driver allegedly then manoeuvred the vehicle towards her before fleeing the spot. People who witnessed the incident informed the police, following which a team reached the spot.Police said the woman sustained injuries in the incident. An investigation is underway, with teams examining the viral video and other available evidence to establish the sequence of events and identify the driver.
