Chandigarh: Two youths were seriously injured after they were allegedly attacked with sharp-edged weapons by a group of men in Daria village late Friday night. The victims, Suraj and Vijay, suffered deep injuries to their heads and abdomen and were admitted to GMSH-16.Police arrested two Daria residents, Aakash and Sahil, in connection with the attack. According to the family, the incident occurred after a birthday party hosted by Vikas for his son. Around 11:30pm, as the guests were leaving, Suraj and Vijay were allegedly surrounded and assaulted by a group of youths. The attackers fled after the assault.Police reached the spot after receiving information through the control room and launched an investigation.The family alleged the attack was linked to a dispute over vehicle parking a few days earlier. Prabha Singh, a relative of the victims, claimed the accused held a grudge following the argument and targeted the youths after the party. Police said further investigation is underway and the role of other suspects is being examined.
