This move is set to take effect 21 days after the signing, opening a critical window for negotiations between India, Russia, and the U.S. The decision could have significant implications for India’s economic plans and its role as an alternative manufacturing hub to China—despite China also buying Russian oil, it was notably excluded from the new tariffs. Meanwhile, the U.S. and China remain locked in tense trade talks, with ongoing tariffs impacting billions in trade between the two global powers.
