Kalaburagi: Two construction labourers were found hanging at Sankanur Hill in Chittapur taluk of Kalaburagi district on Saturday morning, police said.The deceased were identified as Sharanamma Bhimanalli, 32, a resident of Basava Nagar in Chittapur town, and Basavaraja Matter, 21, from Bachawara village in Yadgir district.Villagers from Sankanur noticed the bodies hanging from a tree in the morning and alerted the police. Preliminary investigations suggest the two were in a relationship, and police are probing the circumstances that led to their deaths.According to police, the duo had been meeting frequently and spending time together in Chittapur town over the past few months. Both were employed as construction labourers and were working in the town.Shahabad DSP Shankaragouda Patil, Chittapur PSI Manjunatha Reddy, Wadi PSI Thirumalesha Kumbar and police personnel visited the spot and conducted an inspection.A case has been registered at Wadi police station, and further investigation is under way.
